former American Idol Racer Willie Spence has passed away at the age of 23. The singer died in a car accident on Tuesday, October 11th.
A family source said TMZ That Spence collided with a truck that was parked on the side of the road. The accident occurred while Spence was in Tennessee. TMZ reports that a family source said Spence had a punctured tire that was allegedly fixed earlier that day, and then reportedly continued driving from Tennessee to Atlanta.
Many fans and friends of the singer posted their condolences in the comments of Spence’s latest post, including Yamani Segura, who was in the final season of last season. High School Musical: The Musical: Series. commented:

The actress/singer performed with Spence in season 19. Together they sang the song “Prayer” written by her husband David Foster.
Along with McPhee, his impressive voice stunned the judges and audience at the popular singing competition.
