Robbers hold employees at knifepoint inside cell phone store on Shotwell near Fifth Ward area, HPD says!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Two men are on the run after holding employees at gunpoint inside a mobile phone shop.

It happened on Saturday August 13th at about 4:10pm in Building 700 of Shotwell near Lyon Street.

According to Houston police, the men, believed to be between the ages of 20 and 25, ran to stockpile staff and requested cash and cell phones from the back office. Police said one of the men was armed with a knife.

Officials said the thieves took workers to the back office, removed cell phones from the safe, took money from the cash drawers and took away an employee’s wallet.

Then the men fled.

Police said one of the suspects was 5’7 and 165 pounds and was wearing a green hoodie and a black mask. The second suspect was described by authorities as 5’7, 180 pounds and was wearing a gray hoodie and a black mask.
