“We’re starting in a couple of weeks, and we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and dive into the next big franchise,” Green said. “We have a great team coming together and scripts we’re all excited about.”
Eileen Burstein, reprise her role from the original Exorcistclaims to have already filmed some of its scenes for the reboot, but Green appears to be signaling the start of major production for the film by the end of the year.
In the same interview, the director said he was honored to work on another franchise that has become so important to the horror film industry scene.
“I am honored to step into something of great value in the history of cinema,” he explained. “And knowing that there’s a fan base that is curious, aware, alert, and potentially interested to know what we’re up to. What I love is, people say, ‘Is it stressful?'” ‘No, it’s exciting because I’ve spent so much of my life making films, and you’re just begging the audience to set events, watch what’s going on, or buy tickets to the movie. With these, I have stories to tell, I have imagination to express, and the way I can do that In these films is a wonderful opportunity.”
