Why She-Hulk needs a season 2

In just a few days, we’ll be dealing with the season finale She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the latest in a series of live action events set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Disney+ series chronicles the wonderful and adorable origin story of Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany). going to Strong woman Finally, there are many questions about what Jen and her supporting crew have in store, not to mention what Jen’s long-term future could look like within the MCU. While we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds, there was one hope among some fans that the show could be renewed for a second season — and here’s why that definitely happened.

for beginners, Strong woman It was one of the few Phase 4 entries to break the formula arguably set with the live MCU Disney+ series, the vast majority of which told their story in six hour-long dramas. (The only exception is lokiwhich was already renewed for a second season once the first season finale aired.) Strong woman It was the second show in the nine-episode franchise for half an hour, after that WandaVision A show with a tactile format that spans decades that can’t quite translate into a second season.

As has been argued by countless fans on social media, Strong woman It is one of the first (if not the first) modern MCU show to really feel like a TV show, with all the subplots, week-cases, and other metaphors involved. It’s all too easy to imagine the show going on for additional seasons without losing ground, especially when so much of its build has been effective so far. As the first season has proven so far, there’s plenty of Jane’s personal story — and the landscape of a superhero lawyer — that can be extracted in a later part.

There’s also the nature of the comics – the Disney+ shows were a great mix of older characters, newer characters, and characters who’d never had a solo comic before. It can certainly be said that Jen is somewhere in the first category, with several solo shows running for several years across the pages of Marvel Comics. The beauty of these tracks is that each one was very different from the previous one – She-Hulk The era of the early 1980s is distinctly unique from Sexy She-Hulk from 1989 onwards, both of which are not fundamentally similar to the more recent Dan Slott or Charles Soule-penned races. Season 1 of Strong woman It manages to blend the icons and tone of many of those who run together, but there’s still plenty of runway left for a season to come to bend a little bit into one or the other. (Especially if Jen starts to break the fourth wall more, it means that Thrilling times, but that’s a separate conversation in itself.)

And on a larger level, Strong woman She deserves a second season for Jen’s future in the MCU, which is more mysterious than some of her Disney+ predecessors. Many of the earlier shows from Phase 4 have woven their central characters into films or other properties – The Hawk and the Winter Soldier Leads to Lightning And the Captain America: New World OrderAnd the WandaVision led to Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madnessAnd the Mrs. Marvell Enters marvels, etc. While there were definitely hints of what Jin’s future could look like Strong woman Season one, it’s not easy to spot. She can join the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, peel and form her own liberated lady, or give it all up and remain a superhero lawyer. And that doesn’t even take into account the many ways it could appear in other unrelated MCU projects, either to provide legal advice, the kick, or both. No matter what this future entails, having a future season of Strong woman Along with that, it would help anchor Jen’s MCU story, as well as provide a way on a smaller scale for that story to get more entertained.
