Trying to get rid of the sting from the business trip, Troy Heading to King’s Cross Station, he and his team offered words of encouragement and Japanese sweets to put spring in the step of morning travelers.

One passenger, greeting the staff with his trademark banter, admitted that this was “the nicest welcome she’s ever received on her morning commute, especially on humping day.”

Speaking after the stunt, implemented by Sony Pictures to celebrate the home entertainment release of Express trainTroy, aka Milo McCabe, said: “Passengers were treated to a double hype of bespoke compliments and surprisingly delicious desserts on the brand—neither expected (or thought they needed). Both landed wonderfully.”

It comes after research found that nearly half of the 2,000 people surveyed said their commute was the most stressful part of their day, and 41 percent needed a mood booster when traveling to work.

But 45 per cent went so far as to say they worried about their commute, while two-thirds were left feeling anxious about the trip.

It also emerged that more than half of those surveyed, via OnePoll, need to de-stress as soon as they get on the train — by listening to music, calling a friend or family member, or watching a TV show.
