Houston crime: 94-year-old man believes he was targeted in jugging crime because of his age!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A man who was robbed days before his 94th birthday believes he was targeted in a jumping crime in North Houston because of his age.

Now, Houston police are eager to find the suspects who took his money after a trip to the bank.

On September 10, Lino Izaguirre drove to Chase Bank, where he withdrew $700 for bills, gas, and groceries. But his driving home became dangerous when he said he was chased 14 blocks from the bank.

A neighbor’s surveillance camera caught the suspect’s car driving near his house and then turned around.

When Eisweer got off his car in the driveway at 800th Street of East 39th Street, two men jumped out of the car and hung him on his car. Then one of the suspects reached Izaguiri’s pocket and took out the envelope of money.

Eisweer recalls that “behind the first man, there was another person with a hammer in his left hand…and he didn’t say anything either.”

Since the incident, Eiswer said the only mistake he made that day was counting money in public.

He said, “I sat in front of him to count the money I had withdrawn. I saw that it was correct. I put it in my pocket and left.”

Both suspects were described as two Hispanic men. One of the men was about 30 years old and weighed 180 pounds. The second suspect was between 35 and 40 years old.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark-colored Lincoln SUV without a license plate.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
