Shawn Spears made a surprising return to AEW this week AEW Dynamitee. The “President” has not been seen since losing his Steel Cage match against Wardlow back in May and his recent social media activity has fans thinking he might be leaving the promotion. This week’s Dynamite featured a tag team match between Wardlow and Samoa Joe against The Factory, which TNT and ROH TV Champions easily won. Then they are surrounded by the embassy, only for FTR to hit the ring and be saved. Then they teased a six-man tag team match at AEW Rampage this week, saying that while they couldn’t ask Wardlow or Joe they had someone else on their mind.
Then Cash Wheeler said the frenzy starts at “10,” while Dax called Harwood over the top. Then Spears hit the ring, to the delight of the Canadian audience.
