Richmond Texas human trafficking investigation: SWAT officers seen outside Walnut Creek neighborhood home!

Richmond, Texas (KTRK) – Human trafficking investigators were among law enforcement officials outside a home for hours in Richmond on Thursday.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said a woman was threatened with a gun and classified it as an aggravated attack. The victim was taken out of the house and was with the deputies. Officials, in a statement, said they are working to determine the cause.

Law enforcement was on the scene from about 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The ABC13 crew at the scene saw members of the SWAT team with long weapons enter the home on Monarch Forest Lane in the Walnut Creek neighborhood at about 2:20 p.m. after law enforcement repeatedly called out over a loud megaphone, “Sheriff’s Office. Search warrant.”

Crime scene units, detectives, human trafficking investigators, deputies, and others were present throughout the day.

A handcuffed man spoke with officials outside the house. It was not clear if he had been charged.

Soon, investigators looked at a car parked in the driveway and tried to get into another car. They ended up towing the second car.

Neighbors said they saw late-night activity in the one-story house. Someone said he had noticed different people than usual in the house recently.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office will not provide any additional information when asked and will not confirm that this relates to human trafficking.

A sergeant at the site said they would send additional information at some point.
