Natalie Imbroglia ‘Comes Back Stronger’ in Shepherd’s Bush Empire – Live Review | music | entertainment

Her time in the TV series was originally short lived, as in 1997 the Australian star managed to carve out a new career for herself and gained international fame with her single Tom. Her debut album Left Of The Middle sold seven million copies, and 1998’s Big Mistake followed Tom in the top three.

A quarter of a century and 25 years later, Natalie is celebrating this career achievement with her current tour.

Imbruglia, 47, took to the stage in a black and navy tutu dress, skipped and danced to work, rocking the vibrant “What You Feel” from her latest album, the critically acclaimed Firebird.

The more popular groove of Wishing I Was There inspired her first singing audience, but there were no complaints from the frenetic crowd when Imbroglia returned straight to a mature new pop number for her latest single, Nothing Matters.

Smash Hit Shaver quickly transforms the stage audience back into a cheerful, cheerful crowd chorus before Natalie opens her soul to the dreamy song, Smack followed by the singer’s favorite character, the twisting, reflexive magic of pigeons and crumbs that sees her sink into quicksand in a crowded room “before” she takes me And I shine across the sky until morning, then you color me…”

Her over-qualified supporting band breathes life, soul and color into the songs, allowing Imbruglia’s fragile personality to flow freely with bold confidence.

New numbers, like the lovable Just Like Old Friends and the charming Firebird, won’t seem out of place in the hands of ABBA and Stevie Nicks respectively.

Alanis Morissette’s grunge vibe fills up with a stunning Big Mistake before Imbruglia invites producer and guitarist Phil Thornali onstage for a copy of the Grammy-nominated Tom song that kicked off her remarkable 25-year career a century ago.

Releases included another new number one, Build It Better and like the singer herself she was full of strength and empowerment.

After a six-year hiatus from the music scene due to the self-confessed writer’s ban as well as motherhood, Tonight’s Natalie Imbruglia proves that she is indeed back stronger.

Those who crossed the doors early were treated to the wrong voice of support work, rising star Marcus McCwan, whose credentials include songwriting songs for multi-million-selling K-pop band BTS.

The sought-after Cornish boy quickly won over audiences with his upcoming solo movie Phase Me, which opened this brief but impressive set. Stylishly dressed and oozing with confident charm, his endearing voice was best showcased on the featured cover of dance floor favourite, You Got The Love.

Marcus’ catchy electronic pop music won many new fans. Songs like Chemical Tangled and Hair Down left many begging for more.

There’s no doubt we’ll be hearing a lot from Marcus McEwan in the new year. A name to remember.
