Overwatch 2 Stream Shows Tyler1 Free From 5-Year Chat Ban

Twitch streamer Tyler1, a content maker who is no stranger to being banned in games, recently discovered that he had been banned from in-game connections in Monitor 2. Discover this streaming device within Monitor 2 Broadcast this week when he logged in and was greeted with a warning about his chat restriction which he said had been “silenced for 1,812 days due to multiple reports of abusive chat from other players”. This ban equates to less than five years of no connections, but not long after this ban was noticed, it ended up being removed.

The Monitor 2 Tyler1’s ban saga chapter begins in the clip below whenever he realizes he’s been banned for an exceptionally long time. Tyler was initially surprised when he saw that he was “still silent” and admitted that the ban was “due”.

So, keep playing Monitor 2. He would type in the chat every now and then, and sometimes he would have a fit of anger that his microphone would pick up, but each time, a similar alert might say that the chat messages weren’t going through due to blocking.

That all turned around the next day when Tyler1 came back for more Observation 2. The first two games he played gave him the same message reminding HM to stop him, but in one of the matches where he played Mercy, he asked someone to stop playing in the back seat, and the message was sent. The next few moments are featured in the clip below (which, fair warning, contains explicit language, but is true for most Tyler1 clips).

Beyond that game, he was able to communicate with his teammates freely without any kind of chat restrictions. It’s not clear from the streams if he’s been in touch with Blizzard to unblock him, but he’s the opposite.

Five years is a long time to stop chatting, but Blizzard Guidelines Silencing accounts suggests that this kind of thing is indeed possible given that “there is no limit to the duration of silence.
