WWE and Impact Wrestling Stars previously appeared in AEW on Rampage, Challenge for ROH Titles

AEW Rampage ended in a chaotic brawl, and there were some new additions in the midst of that fight as Rampage came to a close. FTR and Shawn Spears would walk away with a win over The Embassy, but their celebration came to a halt when Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling and WWE stars The Kingdom walked down the ramp. Maria Kanellis, Mike Bennett, and Matt Taffin were all caught off guard by the FTR file and were looking for some respect from these new Ring of Honor stars for the house they built and for the rematch they never received. You can check out their debut in the video below.

“My name is Marianne Kanellis, and I’m the first lady of pro wrestling, and we just had to come here because you guys call yourselves top guys, but you never really competed with us,” Kanellis said. “You see, the Ring of Honor and the IWGP Tag Team Title, ours first. This company and everything that’s built on it, has been on our backs, and we’ve never gotten the recognition we deserve.”

“So let me introduce you to the real best players,” Kanellis said. “Mike Bennett. Mike Taffin. We are the kingdom.” Then the Embassy attacked the FTR and Spears and then Taven and Bennett attacked the FTR as well, and it was five to three in the ring. Fortunately for FTR and Spears, they’re going to get some great help.

That was when Samoa Joe and Wardlow (or WarJoe) got into the ring and tied the odds. Once they get to the ring, the embassy and kingdom will come out, and the Rampage movie is coming to an end. Kingdom will also be doing a behind-the-scenes interview that was shown on social media, revealing why they are here with AEW’s Lexi Nair.

Kingdom highlighted that it was already the two-time ROH Tag Team Champions and IWGP Tag Team Champions. Taven said then that they owe a match for the ROH team titles, and they’re here for that gold medal. FTR seemed more than happy to oblige, and they’ve never really gotten away from a fight before, so it looks like we’ll have that match soon.

It’s unclear if they signed to AEW or were specifically part of ROH, but they only titled ROH and IWGP in their promo and didn’t hint at anything particularly AEW. They also come from the time in Impact Wrestling where they were part of the Honor No More faction, but they seemed so fine with belonging to ROH again that it seems like this was in the past.
