General Mills launches Rudolph Cereal, bringing back a crowd favorite for the holidays

At that time of year again. With Halloween just a few weeks away from the end of pumpkin spice season, it’s time for holiday treats and snacks to arrive. This change of seasons food is especially good for breakfast cereal lovers, and this year, General Mills is bringing back a pair of fan favorites as well as introducing an all-new festive take on the mix. The holiday season returns with Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch and Apple Pie Toast Crunch while new to the holiday lineup this year is Rudolph Cereal.

The new Rudolph Cereal is a cocoa-flavored hot cereal—cutting the beans up into a reindeer shape—with holiday-themed marshmallows, including Rudolph’s red nose shapes, blue elf hat, and green holiday tuft. The package contains an image of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from the beloved holiday TV show. The cereal is now available at retailers nationwide.

For the return favorite, Apple Pie Toast Crunch debuted last year and was an instant fan favorite. Cereal combines the flavor of a classic holiday dessert with the crunch of cereal. It’s a great breakfast option, but the brand also suggests that it makes a delicious snack, too. Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch is also back this year with this one that brings the taste of the classic Christmas cake to breakfast. Both of these cereal areas are now available for a limited time and have suggested retail prices of $4.49 for a family-sized box.

What other holiday candy is coming out this year?

While General Mills’ holiday cereal offerings are exciting, they aren’t the only foods available this season. The Betty Crocker brand is also launching two new cookie collections this year, the Reese’s Trees Cookie Kit and the Melted Snowman Cookie Decorating Kit. The seasonal cookie collection, the Santa Cookies, returns this year as well with all three now available for a limited time and all at a suggested retail price of $4.98. Pillsbury also brings back seasonal dough variations—Turkey, Elf, and Winter Cutouts—and seasonal holiday dough rolls are also back in Holiday Sugar, Gingerbread, and Candy Cane flavors.
