Steve-O and Wee Man Reveal How Much Money They Made for Tony Hawk

Steve-O and Wee Man revealed how much money they made for their roles Tony Hawk’s Underground 2. Tony Hawk games were one of the biggest video games of the early 2000s thanks to its smooth and fresh gameplay that made you feel like a professional skater and played some of the later games. The franchise helped popularize the skate genre and laid the foundation for EA’s Skate series, which aims to make a comeback in the near future. Tony Hawk Games is in a weird place right now as Activision doesn’t seem to have much interest in putting the right resources into a new game or reproducing old entries after the acclaimed release of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 in the year 2020.

Regardless, during the franchise’s heyday, Tony Hawk’s games featured some big celebrities including the Jackass crew. Steve-O and Jason ‘Wee Man’ Acuna spoke on Steve-O’s Wild Ride podcast about how the Tony Hawk games have affected the sport of skateboarding. The two started talking about how much they won their roles in Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 She had them at the time, especially since Steve-O was basically a secret character in the game. The duo revealed that they were paid $5,000 apiece for their smaller roles, but major players like Pam Margera and Tony Hawk earned “life-changing money” worth in the millions. You can watch the clip below (it’s worth noting that Weiman says he was there Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2but he may have misspoke because he was only on the inside Tony Hawk’s Underground 2).

The Tony Hawk series thrived on PlayStation 2 and was a major franchise for consoles released during that era. It remains to be seen whether or not the Tony Hawk games will make a proper comeback, but it’s not something fans should hold their breath under Activision’s current leadership. Perhaps if things change with the acquisition of Microsoft, it could lead to more Tony Hawk titles.
