At this time, the publisher did not explicitly say what will be shown during the event, but viewers can expect “the latest updates for the SILENT HILL series,” according to Konami’s official Twitter account. Rumors about the future of the series have been circulating for years now, and it looks like Konami may finally have something to show its hungry fans! After all these years of waiting for new information, it seems the end is finally in sight.

The Tweet announcing the submission can be found embedded below.

The Silent Hill series debuted on the original PlayStation in 1999, but hasn’t seen a new entry in the series since 2012. In 2014, Konami announced silent hills, a project that brings together Kojima Productions with Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus. The game was highly anticipated and its playable teaser (also known as PTIt attracted a lot of interest. Unfortunately, the match was called off after news of a rift between Kojima and Konami, and PT It is no longer available for download. Despite the massive popularity of the Konami horror series, Silent Hill has since disappeared.

Considering everything that has happened over the past decade, fans of the Silent Hill series will have high expectations of the next game in the series. Silent Hill was one of Konami’s biggest franchises at one point, but it remains to be seen if it could be again. Given the large Silent Hill fan base, it looks like there will be plenty of people watching on Wednesday to see what will be revealed. There will likely be many new entries in the announced string (as previously reported), but there is simply no way to be sure. For now, Silent Hill fans will have to wait patiently and get ready to see what’s in store for Konami!
