Gabriel Iglesias paid a hefty fine after filming his own on Netflix, but it led to what he called ‘the greatest night of my life’

flavi stadium, Gabriel Iglesias’ latest Netflix special is one of the greatest achievements in stand-up comedy history. Dodger’s completely sold-out stadium is bursting with energy, constantly chanting “Fluffy, Fluffy!” Over the course of approximately two hours of private run time. While the two hours may be a big part of the funny, it’s only a fraction of what actually gets done, as the comedian ran the clock in order to stay in this pivotal moment for as long as possible. Continuing the event beyond his contractual commitment cost Iglesias a pretty penny, but if he had to, he would do it again.

I recently met Iglesias to talk about all things flavi stadium, This told me what he called “the greatest night of my life”:

What you’ll see on Netflix isn’t all that happened that night. We had to adjust it because I was at that point for about 3 hours. And there’s no way to give Netflix the green light for that. So half of it was a performance, then the other half hour I was just taking drinks and having it because no one wanted to leave. It’s the biggest fine I’ve had to pay because we went overtime and the federation was very happy about that. It cost me an arm and a leg to push that, and I was going to do it all over again because it was the greatest night of my life.
