Warner Bros. Pictures finds new boss as exploratory merger continues

There are more big changes happening at Warner Bros. Pictures following the merger with Discovery. Several of the studio’s top executives left after the formation of Warner Bros. Discovery, and the company is still working on bringing alternatives to some of those open positions. On Thursday, Warner Bros. filled in. Discovery is one of those important seats and some other great promotions have been handed out.

according to diverse Warner Bros. has chosen Pictures longtime CEO Jesse Ehrman as the new head of production and development. The role was vacated by Courtenay Valenti following the merger. Ehrman will be responsible for the live events development team and the Warner Bros. budget. Pictures. He will report to the co-chairs of Warner Bros. Pictures and CEOs Michael DeLuca and Pamela Abdi.

In addition to the appointment of Ehrman as a new president, Warner Bros. promoted three more people to the positions of first vice president. Cate Adams, Peter Dodd, and Sheila Walcott received senior vice president promotions. Kevin McCormick will continue in his role as Executive Vice President of Production, and will work closely with Ehrman.

Throughout his career in the studio, Jesse has amassed an amazing filmography and has proven to be the right choice to head our production and development team. With this team, we are well positioned to continue the legacy of Warner Bros. Pictures’ success over 100 years.”

Who is responsible for DC Films?

Walter Hamadeh has resigned from his role in overseeing the capital for Warner Bros. The seat has not yet been filled. Warner Bros. wants. Discovery that someone would come and play a similar role to Kevin Feige in Marvel, and at one point Dan Lin was being considered. But that failed and the position is still vacant.

Until someone is given this job, Deluca and Abdi will have an active hand in developing DC movies and live TV shows.
