WWE NXT had many surprises during tonight’s Halloween Havoc, and among those was the excitement of NXT’s big comeback. During tonight’s event, there was a shot of a mask in flames, and the mask appears to be the former WWE Raw Superstar T-Bar. Longtime NXT fans celebrate too, as before the advent of T-Bar and Retribution, T-Bar was known as Dominik Dijakovic, and quickly became the NXT favorite in several matches against Keith Lee. Now it looks like he’s not only back in NXT but also back to his old persona, and in Media call after the showShawn Michaels spoke out about the harassment after a question from Shawn Ross Sapp, largely confirmed that he was Dijakovic and revealed how the comeback happened.

Prior to the clipping, Dijakovic was often in the North American Championship scene and then the NXT Championship scene during Keith Lee’s time in NXT, and the two had some stellar matches in the ring, although Lee was often up front. He thought Dijakovic would eventually move forward in NXT, but then retribution occurred. Dijakovic was one of five NXT Superstars drawn to Raw to form the Retribution faction, but after a surprise appearance and another big move with the revelation of Mustafa Ali as the leader, the group went on to lose and quickly fizzled out, and then some. They were stuck with those characters for a while.
“I mean I think we’ve done a lot already, but when you get talent 1 is very talented, and we felt like we had just started in NXT before, and then from our perspective, the pandemic happened again and there were a lot of quick changes and we lost a lot of people,” Michaels said. And then over time they figured out ‘Okay, maybe we’re not sure how to end the story they’re in. And anytime they’re willing to let us give them a chance to get them back, we look at it, and I don’t mean it in a bad way, but we find it like a fun new game. “
“I mean to take on guys who are so talented, and I think one of the things we’re definitely trying to do here or definitely trying to do a lot in the future, is try not to offend the fans and not pretend that someone wasn’t them a short time ago,” Michaels said. .” But just kind of connect the dots.
