The best of Saul on demand Odenkirk follows through the events before and after Too bad. Warning: spoilers ahead! In the series finale, Saul/Jamie makes a deal that will imprison him for just seven years, and Saul ends up admitting his involvement in Walter White’s empire and is sentenced to more than 80 years in prison. The series ends with Saul’s ex-wife, Kim Wexler (Sehorn) appearing in prison as his attorney, and they share a touching last moment. After smoking together as they did in the first episode of the show, Kim leaves and passes Saul in the yard. He did some finger pistols for her, something both characters had done previously in the series. During an interview with Entertainment WeeklySeehorn revealed that they released different versions of the ending.
Well, we shot a number of different iterations – including one where she shot her fingers at him. She was very small and not mobile or with a smile, but nonetheless – in the end, Peter decided it was a lot like they were saying, ‘Kim is back in the game’ “And we didn’t really want to give that impression. That moment between them, to me, is a lot more about recognizing their bond, which still exists, and that part of their relationship was right,” explained Seehorn.
“I deliberately left it up to interpretation,” she added. “Does that just say, ‘Man, we did a great job and that’s okay?'” Or is he saying, ‘We’re still great together. And we can still do something together. We can still legally do something together.” [Laughs] I took it to mean he was saying, “I still think we have a relationship.” Whatever the adjective.
