OnePlus is no stranger to providing the best bang for your buck. After all, this is how the phone maker got its start and gained followers. And OnePlus looks to live up to that reputation with the latest Nord hardware.
Nord is OnePlus’ budget package, with offers packing in some high-end specs in less expensive devices, like the Nord N20. The latest phone is the OnePlus Nord N300, which is the successor to the OnePlus Nord N200.
Featuring a new design reminiscent of the Nord N20 (one we really liked), the Nord N300 features a dual camera system, a 90Hz 720p display, 33W fast charging for its massive 5,000mAh battery, and a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset — which is honestly the most worrying part about this phone. .
Here are the specifications OnePlus sent us.

OnePlus didn’t reveal everything about the Nord N300, but we’ve got the basics. We think the screen will be an LCD panel, as a way to cut costs. No matter what kind of board you’re using, the N300 features a 720p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s nice to see more cheap phones getting higher refresh rates.
The “dual” camera system is an effective single system thanks to the 2-megapixel depth sensor. Like the macro sensors, the depth is likely to be functionally useless and will likely only be there to fill out the spec sheet so OnePlus can say the Nord N300 has two cameras. Lots of phone makers like to do this and it’s rather an insult to the consumer.
However, it looks like the Nord N300 will be one of the best cheap phones under $300 by 2023. The new phone is sure to have a look that catches your eye and we are sure it will impress you just as much as the Nord N20 design did. You also get 5G below 6GHz, which is really nice for a starting price of $228.
You’ll be limited to T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile if you want the Nord N300, but OnePlus may release the phone for general availability later. Nord N300 arrives on November 3.
