werewolf at nightAnd the Marvel’s critically acclaimed Halloween special, appealed to viewers for a number of reasons. Many seem to appreciate his stand-alone story as well as the new characters it introduced, including A delightful and important swamp thing. Of course, viewers were also excited about her commitment to parodying classic monster films, and one of the ways the producers did this was by using hands-on effects extensively. Even the titular character was practically created, and the results were very impressive. Although one can’t help but wonder if this will still be the case for him moving forward, and one of the show’s writers has focused on that.
The actor who played the aforementioned wolfman was Gael García Bernal, and he put some extraordinary work into his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The hands-on approach to his transformation has definitely worked here, but since he’s so particular to the atmosphere of the TV special, there’s always a chance to change that pattern should the wolf reappear. I recently met werewolf at night Writer Heather Quinn and asked her for her thoughts on the matter. While she couldn’t say for sure how Marvel Studios might handle things in the future, she still offered some diplomatic insights:
That’s a fair point, and there’s a good chance that studio head Honshu Kevin Feige and his colleagues. They are already thinking about how to move forward. As Heather Quinn said, it all depends on the type of story being told. This Halloween special is pretty small compared to other MCU productions, which made it the perfect testing ground for a true old-fashioned monster transformation. This may not necessarily work for Upcoming Marvel Movies Or TV shows that rely more on CGI and require the character to do more from a physical point of view. As of now, one thing is very clear that Quinn and her colleagues really appreciated the opportunity to use classic techniques, and she thinks it did a lot for the shaggy-haired hero:
Maintaining the performance of Gael García Bernal is certainly one of the great things that results from a hands-on approach. Sure, the MCU has done a solid job with influences on characters like the Hulk. But it’s hard to argue against how impactful one can actually see Bernal under hair and makeup.
Aside from how Jack Russell’s changing ego will be framed going forward, there are a number of other things. Questions to consider after werewolf at night. There was no indication whether Jack Russell, Man-Thing (or Ted) and Elsa Bloodstone would definitely return, so the jury is out there. The special’s position in the franchise timeline is also not clear (like the creative team You don’t have to worry about the important MCU component). It’s still so obvious Monsters are prepared for the cinematic universewhich means there is a strong chance that they will all appear again at some point.
Personally, I hope Marvel’s werewolf will still be a working creation when we see it again. And if the studio has to change things up to better accommodate this said production, let’s hope the product will be as impressive as what fans saw during the character’s debut.
