– Officially announced that James Gunn and Peter Safran have been appointed co-chairs and co-CEOs of DC Studios, which replaces DC Movies Division Discovered by Warner Bros. According to THR, the hiring of Gunn and Safran becomes effective November 1. The two signed a four-year contract that makes Gunn exclusive to DC Studios, which means his Marvel days are now over.
In their new roles in DC studios, James Jean and Peter Safran will report directly to Discover Warner Bros., David Zaslav. The two will work closely with Michael De Luca and Pam Abdi, co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Film Group.

“Their decades of film experience, close ties to the creative community and a track record of exciting superhero fans around the world make them uniquely qualified to develop a long-term strategy across film, television and animation, taking this iconic franchise to the next level of creative storytelling.
Both directors have experience in superhero movies.
James Gunn and Peter Safran have a close relationship with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Developed by Gunn suicide squad and the HBO spin-off series Max Peacekeeper while Safran is the producer behind Aquaman and Shazam! Movies.
