Zoe Saldana Reveals Why You Love Avengers: Endgame Force Scene

When Avengers: Endgame It premiered in theaters in the summer of 2019, and was filled with moments that fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe couldn’t believe they were seeing. One of the most exciting scenes at the time was the third act “A-Force” scene, which united a group of female characters across the first three stages of Marvel Studios in a very short – but memorable – sequence. In a recent interview with Entertainment WeeklyGamora Acress Zoe Saldaña revealed some interesting behind-the-scenes pieces of how the scene came to be — and in particular, the less charming parts of it.

Saldana revealed: “Obviously we knew it was going to be special, and we felt like ourselves every time the Russians said, ‘Action!’ ‘But what I can remember – and these are the nuggets of life that make me feel so human and make me down to earth – is that we were just complaining about how uncomfortable our costumes, our makeup, our wigs, how cold the set were, how much we didn’t want to be. There, how much we wanted to be there. So we were just girls, you know? [through that] It was also very special.”

Will there be a file Energy Movie?

The next female-focused team in the MCU will be in The Marvels next year, which will follow an alliance between Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambo (Tiona Paris) and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani). The film’s director, Nia D’Costa, recently revealed how the endgame scene affected her approach.

“I, like many women around the world, watched Avengers: EndgameAnd I got those six seconds of all the Marvel women together. I did get goosebumps once, but I was also very annoyed. I said, “Two hours of this, please.” It was really cool that they decided to do a group movie with three of my favorite heroes, so that was the most exciting,” DaCosta explained in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve been a fan of Marvel for the longest time, I loved the movies. And so, I always knew I wanted to be a part of the universe.”
