It’s all very technical, and it’s very intentional. So I can tell him, I need this to be a little hotter, and he can get to that very easily. [And I could say] But I also, because of that cowl and the way the light hits your eye, I need you to lean a little more to your left, or else I won’t see your eye. He can do both of these things simultaneously.”
“He had a tremendous ability to access his emotions, but he also controls his movement, so all of these things come from a very internal place. But he has a tremendous ability with himself physically. He’s very capable of accessing all of those things, but also in a very specific way. Weird at the same time, while he can be out of control, he can also be incredibly controlling in terms of how he calibrates his voice, the way he leans, where he stands in. And so I think the choices he makes are on some level, very conscious too, Although I know some of it must be unconscious because it comes from a very instinctive place.” Batman director added.
