Uncle From Another World Shares Official Sega Crossover

Uncle from another world I had a few problems when it came to anime adaptation this year, as the studio behind production announced a hiatus for the current season, meaning fans will have to wait until the end of next month for Isekai to continue. Despite this fact, the series had an official crossover with the video game company, Sega, to help popularize “Sega Mega Drive Mini 2” by creating a new manga that blends the two worlds together in a wonderful way.

This crossover makes a lot of sense if you’ve followed the Isekai series because the titular “Uncle” wasn’t shy when it came to his love of all things Sega, and routinely took the opportunity to play old games from the company despite having god-like abilities at his disposal. Sega has made its way into the franchise story a few times, the most hilarious being when Uncle woke up from his coma and immediately asked if Sega was still making video games and protagonist Isekai at one point in his adventures bumps into a giant hedgehog monster he originally thought might be an amulet. Sega, Sonic the Hedgehog.

The special manga can be seen below, where Uncle takes the opportunity to dive into the new Sega console, which takes a number of old games from Genesis and puts them into one device, just like the previous Super Nintendo Classic Edition:

If you haven’t had the opportunity to dive into Isekai’s unique series, Yen Press, the publishers behind Uncle from another world The manga has released an official description:

“Seventeen years ago, Takfumi’s uncle fell into a coma, but now he’s back as a man who has risen from his grave. Takfumi soon discovers two strange things: his uncle’s treasures are in video games above all else, and while in a coma, he has already been transported to another world as a heroic guardian Now, not only does Takafumi have to hang out with his magical uncle in the literal sense of the word, but he also has to catch up with the man over two decades of history—smartphones, high-speed internet, modern anime fields… and the painful outcome of the ’90s console war!”
