It’s been a short time since Henry Cavill last graced our screens with the name Geralt of Rivia the magician. The fantasy series recently wrapped production on its third season, and it seems that fans’ expectations are increasing day by day. Before the list of new episodes, some bitter news slipped away. Netflix has officially confirmed that the show has already been renewed for a fourth season. However, Cavill will not return as the main character. Interestingly enough, his fan-favorite role has already been recast.
Henry Cavill further confirmed that he will never wear his armor and sword again when the magician Production begins in the fourth season. As it turns out, only Liam Hemsworth will succeed the British star in this role. Cavill dropped a statement, shared by the player, on his Instagram, where he talked about his time playing Geralt and sent some good wishes to his successor:

In my stead, the wonderful Mr. Liam Hemsworth will take over the mantle of White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary figures, I pass the torch with respect for the time I’ve spent portraying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam take on this most wonderful and subtle man. Hossam, good sir, this character has a great depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.
Liam Hemsworth, who the audience probably knows from films like hunger Games And the Independence Day: BackHe also talked about his new job. The star, who is a fan of the fantasy franchise, shared his own statement expressing his gratitude to his predecessor for handing the reins. It also appears that the 32-year-old is poised to take up his position within the continent:

Henri Cavill Geralt has been fantastic, and I am honored that he handed me the reins and allowed me to take the blades of the white wolf into the next chapter of his adventure. I might have some big shoes to fill, but I’m really excited to enter the world of The Witcher.
This is a huge surprise, to say the least. It’s really sad to know that a file Mission: Impossible The alum is leaving the show, especially since he personified Geralt in a convincing way. However, he seems confident that Liam Hemsworth can do the role fairly. At the very least, we can already say that he would achieve a great level of fitness for this role.
One cannot help but wonder what exactly prompted the actor to decide to leave the series.
