Mouser II
One of the biggest scene thieves in the world suicide squad He was Cleo Cazo / Ratcatcher II (Daniella Melchior), an old protagonist who controls rodents who ends up becoming a deep part of the film’s emotional core. With news that Gunn is already working with Melchior again next year Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3Fans definitely want to see them collaborating on another DC project — especially considering how much narrative potential Cleo still has.
While Cleo isn’t yet in the pages of DC comics, it’s all too easy to imagine her joining a team like Secret Six or The Birds of Prey, or even going out on her own adventures.
shark king
Another character that’s easy to imagine in The Adventures of Ratcatcher II – or in any wild story on the show – is Nanaue/King Shark (Sylvester Stallone and Steve Agee). The King Shark was a giant hybrid between a man and a shark, and the highlight was suicide squadwith great comic timing and dynamic with other characters.
As a myriad comics, the Harley Quinn Animated series and up SparkleThe TV show has proven, that there is definitely a lot of narrative potential with King Shark, and a lot of heads to bite into.
the thinker
Rounding suicide squad Veterans may be options for sub-show is Gaius Grieves / The Thinker (Peter Capaldi), who appeared to hint that he had “big plans” in a tweet earlier this summer. Of course, there’s a caveat that Grieves was brutally and visibly killed by Starro in the third act of the movie, which means anything about him would need to either be a prelude to the events of the film. suicide squador relating to an alternate version of The Thinker.
Either way, fans probably wouldn’t mind seeing more Capaldi in the DC Universe.
John Hawk
Now, let’s get into some of the characters that Gunn . considered suicide squad, which eventually did not make it to the final film. One of the strangest names on that list is Liam Hawkleigh/Gunhawk, an army sniper who became an enemy of Batman alongside his girlfriend Gunbunny.
Depending on what form Gunn’s new TV series can take, Gunhawk and Gunbunny will be some kind of weird deep cut to fold – even if they eventually end up becoming cannon fodder.
killer frost
Another character on that list is roughly-suicide squad The cast members were Killer Frost, an anti-hero who already had a unique thank you to Sparkle TV program. Three characters have kept the mantle over the years – Crystal Frost, Louise Lincoln, and Kaitlyn Snow – and each carries a unique background and personality.
Even after nearly a decade of the character’s appearance Sparkle TV Show, the idea of Gunn putting his stamp on Killer Frost sounds inspiring, especially if she’s a member of the Suicide Squad-esque team.
story
The surprise third name on Gunn’s roster was Knockout, a former female lover Fury who gets a second chapter on Earth. Over the years, Knockout acts as an anti-hero and a more traditional villain, becoming a key member of the Secret Six and sparking a romance with teammate Scandal Savage.
Knockout is another character that Gunn could have an inspiring approach to, regardless of what context it might appear in.
Sarge Steel
If the first season of peace maker Not making it clear, Gunn has a unique approach to heroes and villains from the semi-immortal world of Charlton Comics, whose characters were later incorporated into DC’s publishing arsenal. One of the lesser-known members of that list is Sarge Steel, a tough private character who later became a major figure in the government’s handling of superheroes.
Fans had already assumed that Sarge Steel could wait in the wings peace makerThe Butterfly Project plot began to grow and included more branches of government. Either way, Sarge Steel would be an excellent supporting character for whatever plot Gunn has in store.
Captain Atom
Continuing the streak of yet-to-be-released Charlton characters, Captain Atom might be one of the most memorable – and complex – characters. Also known as Allen Adam or Nathaniel Adam, the latter is an Air Force pilot who undergoes science experiments that give him a wide range of supernatural powers, including the manipulation of atomic energy.
Captain Atom is one of those characters that’s largely unused in DC media – but it wouldn’t be impossible to imagine Gunn correcting that mistake, separating the live-action Charlton mythos in the process.
Mr. cool
Although a copy of it appeared Arrow For several seasons, Michael Holt/Mr. Fantastic is one of those characters who’s left much unexplored in live action. The genius engineer and Olympic athlete, who succeeded the original Mr. Tyrivik, Terry Sloan, has been factored in in DC comics in countless ways. This includes being a member of the Justice Society of America, founding the Fantastic Four-esque group The Terrifics – and being part of the global dealings with superheroes as a high-ranking member of Checkmate.
While Mr. Terrific may seem like a more heroic character than many of the characters Gunn has brought to the screen so far, that’s what makes the idea of his handling of his DCU debut even more exciting. In addition, Gunn also recently tweeted his praises to DC recently strange adventures maxiseries – which just so happens to feature Mr. Fantastic as the main character.
GI robot
We know Gunn loves turning a CGI heavyweight character into a standout, both through Groot and Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy or weasel in suicide squad. Another one that could join that list, and be a deep cut in the process, is GI Robot. First appearing in DC’s war books, the character has been reimagined several times over the years, as a robotic soldier fighting of his own free will, and later as a pawn used by Lex Luthor.
While he may not be as lovable as Rocket or Weasel, GI Robot is the kind of uncommon character who will thrive in a Gunn-helmed venture. Just imagine Gunn’s brother, Sean Gunn, doing the crap for the character.
