Dreams has launched a new luxury bed with a twist. According to Dreams, a king size bed is said to combine functionality, comfort and style. It has ottoman storage, comes with a range of luxurious finishes, and features optional Sleepmotion technology. However, the twist is that the bed is specifically designed for gamers, so if you’re like me, don’t expect to get a lot of sleep!
Known as The Drift, the newly launched gaming bed features a built-in TV, plus storage for game consoles, two stylish headphone holders and USB ports on each side.
You can even have a pair of bedside chests with stands to rest your consoles on.
If you really want to take things to the next level, you can actually upgrade from a 32-inch TV to something bigger.
Then there are the built-in LED lights, which frame the perimeter of the bed frame and headboard. It should help create what Dreams describes as “the ultimate gaming atmosphere.”
You can get the Drift gaming bed in black faux leather with blue or green piping, or in gray fabric and black trim.
According to Dreams, the bed was developed during the pandemic, when more people were embracing games and other forms of entertainment.
Dreams’ statement reads, “With more than 50% of the population embracing gaming as a form of fun, entertainment or distraction during the pandemic, the need for a comfortable space to relax, unwind and play has never been in such high demand.”
“As gaming becomes more and more popular, people want seamless ways to enjoy the experience, so Drift provides the solution to those needs.”
Dreams buying director Fabio Perrotta believes that the family has become more than just a place to rest after a hard day.
“We’ve seen a real shift in attitudes toward gaming since the pandemic, as well as in demand among people who want to enjoy the gaming experience in comfort and style,” he explains.
“Dreams understand that beds are so much more than just a place to rest our heads, which is what inspired us to create the first ever king-sized gaming bed.”
Available in select stores, the Drift gaming bed comes in mini twin, twin and king sizes, with prices starting at £1,799.
