Now you can get 55-inch LG A2 OLED 4K TV $896 at Amazon (Opens in a new tab). That’s $403 off the regular price, and $3 less on the same discounted TV will set you back at Best Buy. Don’t let the fact that it’s not flagged as a bargain fool you, this is a great discount on a great TV.
OLED TVs are known for having some of the best picture quality – they easily beat an LCD screen you might have in your living room. Each individual pixel has its own color and lightning, providing deeper blacks, richer colors and a much wider range of viewing angles.
There’s a lot to love about the LG A2 as well. This set comes with a 55-inch 4K display, complete with Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG support, so there’s no reason why everything should look its best ever. It also offers Google Assistant and Alexa support, and LG’s webOS software is often considered one of the best smart TV platforms.
Unfortunately, OLED technology is expensive, and while the LG A2 OLED line is designed to try and make it more accessible, there are a few caveats. The refresh rate is limited to 60Hz, and there is no support for HDMI 2.1. That might be fine for watching Netflix, but that means the A2 isn’t the kind you can buy if you want the best picture out of your new gaming console. You will need one of the best gaming TVs for that.
If the 55 inch screen is too big for you, go to Best Buy which is currently doing crazy $730 off the price of the 48-inch LG A2. However, Amazon has an advantage in the larger model, because every dollar counts.
