Marvel’s Alligator Loki almost looked different

loki Crocodile Loki almost looked a little different on the Disney+ show. In the new book, Loki from Marvel Studios: The Art of the Series, Two different designs of Asgardian reptiles are shown. In the pictures, they tried versions of the Alligator Loki with short horns, long horns, and some in the middle. It’s fun to think about, especially with the amount of uproar the Reptile made when he showed up in the middle of the show. Tom Hiddleston’s trick-or-treat god has always had variants in the series, but many fans have wondered how far Marvel would be willing to push the envelope. Check out Gator Loki’s different looks here.

As lead writer Michael Waldron emphasized at the time, Crocodile Loki was an original innovation that came about through very specific means.

“We were talking about [how] “We want to meet many different versions of Loki on this show,” Waldron explained when asked about the popular alternate. I was like, there must be an Alligator Loki. She is like, why? Because it is green. It’s pretty stupid, but it’s also totally logical. You almost have to take it seriously, maybe it is [a Loki]? Why shouldn’t there be a crocodile version of Loki? For all we know, that’s crocodile universe or whatever. It’s just kind of irreverent, in this show we play straight and make the audience take it seriously.”

How did normal Loki react

Hiddleston himself had to answer questions about Loki Variant, the fairest of them all. During a Q+A session with Tumblr, the Disney + series star couldn’t deny that he encountered the best version of his character.

“Okay, well, you know, what can I say? I’ve been struggling with this persistent character for 11 years. And I gave everything I could do just to be in the position, perhaps inevitably, by the real Loki, Loki, who is Crocodile Loki, He laughed. “You know I kind of knew he was coming. I felt like I would replace at some point. And I’m glad that finally happened. Crocodile Loki has arrived. He threw his hat to the ground. The rest of us simply have to get out of the way at this point.”
