The new game is fully compatible with mutant: year zero Tabletop RPG, so players can use their RPG character in skirmishes, or turn the skirmish into a full-blown tabletop campaign.

Originally published in Sweden, the franchise has been periodically translated into English, but only took off outside of Sweden with the release of mutant: year zero and the Mutant: Year Zero – The Road to Eden Back in 2018. The games focus on a post-apocalyptic world populated with anthropomorphic animals, robots, and humans with psychic powers. year zero Focusing on the emergence of the various factions of mutants and the struggle for survival in a post-apocalyptic world.
As of press time, Kickstarter has raised over $87,000, well above the initial funding target. Supporters will receive a copy of the basic set of Mutants: Year Zero – Zone Wars With a pledge of $55 or receipt of both the Basic and Expansion Kit with a pledge of $91. Kickstarter will remain open until November 22.
