AEW Addresses AEW’s Xbox Game Pass Rumor: Forever Fighter

AEW Fight Forever got people talking yesterday after rumors of an unexpected first match from All Elite Wrestling that said the game would be part of Xbox Game Pass, and now AEW is taking it up. In a new tweet from AEWGames, AEW stated that they do not expect Fight Forever to be part of any games’ monthly subscription services and that physical and online retailers will still be the game’s delivery method. There is no firm release date for the game yet, although it is expected in 2023. You can find the official AEWGames post below.

The initial report said that the game will be available on Game Pass on the first day of its final release, and if it does appear, it will be the first licensed wrestling game to be offered on the service. In their tweet, AEWGames addressed the rumors and also revealed when they will share a new update, which will be in Full Gear.

In the tweet, AEWGames wrote, “The internet is buzzing about #AEWFightForever but AEWGames is the official source for all news and information related to #AEWFightForever. Wait a minute for a new and exclusive AEW: Fight Forever update next Saturday, November 19th during #AEWFullGear!” Their second tweet will read “This looks like this Also a good time to share that we don’t expect #AEWFightForever to be part of any gaming monthly subscription services. AEW: Fight Forever will be available in-store at your favorite retailers or online. Copies today at: https://aew.thqnordic.com”

Full Gear takes place on November 19th, so hopefully we can get a new or better trailer for the game’s release date. We might also get some new cover photos, as CM Punk was front and center on the original cover and doesn’t seem to be part of the company for much longer according to recent reports.

In the original ad, Kenny Omega spoke about his goals for this project. “One of the first things I did after signing with AEW was to ask Tony Khan to allow me to help put together the best gaming team on the planet, to make the best wrestling game ever,” Omega said. Well, we’ve just reached the perfect destiny by partnering with global publishing and distribution company THQ Nordic for AEW: Fight Forever. The THQ brand has always been synonymous with wrestling games – there is simply no qualified partner to bring AEW: Fight Forever to the millions of wrestling fans in the world. the whole world “.

“Kenny’s incredible vision for AEW: Fight Forever is inspired by his origins in wrestling both in the ring and on the controller,” said Executive Producer Reinhard Pulis, THQ Nordic. “Combining this vision with YUKES’ unparalleled wrestling game development history results in an AEW experience that draws heavily on the arcade feel that first won the hearts of wrestling players over two decades ago.”

AEW: Fight Forever is set to hit PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series x/s, and Nintendo Switch, though the game doesn’t have an official release date yet.
