As such, it looks like it’s going to be a pretty tough role for Wes Bentley star to dive in again each season, knowing largely that Jamie won’t be involved in any hilarious or frivolous scenes or storylines.
When CinemaBlend spoke with Wes Bentley before the highly anticipated Season 5 premiere, as seen above, I asked the actor about returning to Jamie’s pre-production space each year, and here’s how he answered:
You know, frankly, it’s a good question, because it’s always hard to prepare. I feel very worried. I’m starting to, you know, get a little nervous, because I know the weight that’s coming when it’s time for Jimmy to play again. But I also, once we dive into it, get it in. It’s intense, but rewarding because, as an actor, you’re looking for the things that Taylor has for this character. So I can do things and try things and explore feelings that I might not have been able to do in other roles, so there’s fun in that as well.
There is a definite advantage to Bentley’s lyrics there, in that Yellowstone It might not look fundamentally different from the other drama shows out there, even with its western leanings, but there really isn’t anyone else on TV like the main characters on this show. Jamie is particularly notable in the sense that viewers have to actively work to lure him in as a hero, rather than just joining the herd in thinking he deserves every hated glare from the side-eye cast in his path.
Thus, taking on a role like this doesn’t make for a rainbow of headspace for a Wes Bentley. But for him, the fact that it’s a relatively rare type of role to play is exactly what makes it so worth it. Taylor Sheridan’s writing has a way of working in the brains of both actors and viewers, and it’s no different for American beauty Veterinarian Dr. To that end, he talked about having to get rid of Jimmy once he made his annual trip to Montana. In his words:
But it’s a very difficult role, and it takes time for me to get out of it, until I come home with my kids and they see me instead of Jimmy.
Perhaps Kevin Costner was the best During the summer when he said that if Jimmy returned to the good fortune of John, the show would likely end. So anyone hoping the show takes a clear left-field turn in Season 5 will be disappointed. But that’s probably where the disappointments end, because Beth and Rip and everything else makes this show great.
