PewDiePie is no longer the most subscribed YouTuber

PewDiePie has been dropped as the most subscribed YouTuber. PewDiePie has dominated YouTube for nearly a decade, starting his channel as a commentator on Call of Duty before moving on to Let’s Play content that focuses heavily on horror games. Eventually he will take over other types of content such as vlogs, reaction content, and more. However, it has gained the majority of its popularity from its gaming content and has been able to tap into that audience and embrace new audiences while breaking into other forms of content. It’s very much a one-man show, and it’s managed to become so successful without having a giant company of people working under it.

However, he is no longer the most subscribed YouTuber. After holding a massive record of more than 111 million subscribers, YouTuber MrBeast surpassed it. MrBeast has gained a lot of traction in recent years by simply having and donating tons of money or creating complex events. He created a real version of squid gamesHave people participate in silly contests to get prizes, money, and more. MrBeast owns his own restaurant which has contributed to his bad reputation. It is now the most subscribed YouTuber, but not the most subscribed channel. There are three companies or organizations above MrBeast in this chart, but due to having studios, large number of employees, etc., MrBeast has been recognized as the most subscribed ‘YouTuber’ due to having a face to the name. MrBeast technically has employees, but he’s on top of it all and not a generic brand.

As of now, it seems likely that MrBeast will continue to widen the gap between himself and PewDiePie. The latter has been the subject of controversy in recent years with inappropriate videos, said racial slurs in live broadcasts, and much more. However, Mr. Best has maintained a family-friendly image throughout his career thus far and will likely continue to do so.
