Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has reached an interesting turning point with its final arc in the manga, and the latest chapter in the series has revealed a new type of jutsu that will play a huge role in the series moving forward! The code-focused series went beyond Otsutsuki’s original plans and began offering androids with a magical type of ability that seemed out of the realm of the jutsu abilities seen in the series thus far. But as Amado explains, there is actually another reason behind these wild new abilities.
With the latest chapter of the series seeing Eida and Daemon settling into Hidden Leaf Village together in their new living quarters along with Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki, Naruto and Shikamaru talk with Amado more to get the full scope of what androids can do. As he details their power, he also reveals that the root of their abilities actually comes from the god level Otsutsuki who had a special jutsu that didn’t need hand signals known as “Shinjutsu”.
What is Shinjutsu?
Chapter 75 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations He explains that he did not, in fact, develop Aida and Damon’s abilities, but implanted them from somewhere else. Using DNA left over from a different Otsutsuki named Shibai, Amado was able to bring out Shibai’s god-level abilities (since his Otsutsuki was able to successfully evolve into divinity) and place them into Eida and his Daemon. He explains that these powers are known as “Shinjutsu”.

As Amado explains, shinjutsu was a shibai’s power that came without the need for any of his hand signals. Summoning storms with a wave of his hand, thunder with his roar, these powers weren’t ninjutsu or sage arts. He says that they were basically equivalents of miracles, and that ninjutsu itself was made as a way to take advantage of this level of Shinjutsu power. In fact, we’ve already seen Shinjutsu abilities in action such as Eida’s and Daemon’s powers, Code’s claw marks, and eye-shrinking abilities that Kawaki took from Isshiki.
