“It was something that worked really well in the stadium and everyone loved it, but it was one of those things when we all saw it together we were like, ‘This just doesn’t work,’ and AMC was like, ‘Maybe just cut that sequence,’ and I said, ‘I get it. Exactly,” Kang explained. “So we were kind of like, ‘Are we done with Rick/Michonne?'” Do we end up riding Daryl? Are we done with the kids? But the intention was always for this to be about… Our generation has done all of these things, and then there are those who will carry on the legacy.”
