In a change of pace, one of the biggest new titles on Netflix this week wasn’t a Netflix original. Bullet Train, starring Brad Pitt and a slew of other celebrities, is coming to Netflix this week and will likely be a entrant on our list of the best Netflix movies.
As someone who has seen it in theaters, I can attest to the fact that Bullet Train is a fun and funny shot of adrenaline. It feels like what would happen if you asked someone to make a John Wick movie that was funny and more about the group than its star. Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, Causeway, Eternals) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick Us, Avengers: Age of Ultron) steal almost the entire movie, while Bad Bunny’s role as a killer named Wolf is memorable in its own right.
Also this week, we made a big return from a popular Netflix show that’s already coming to an end. Firefly Lane: Season 2 Part 1 will kick off the final chapter in the friendship story of Kate (Sarah Chalke) and Tully (Katherine Heigl).
One new movie that’s sure to get people talking is the Netflix adaptation of DH Lawrence’s novel Lady Chatterly’s Lover. This version stars Emma Corinne (Princess Diana from The Crown) and Jack O’Connell (Skins)!
Elsewhere, Robert Downey Jr. pays homage to his father, famed filmmaker Robert Downey Sr., in “Father.” Also get ready for more JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and Snack VS. Chef, a delicious-looking food competition series where chefs look to reinvent classic snacks. If done right, it could make it to our list of the best Netflix shows.
Need more? Already devoured the new movies and shows from this weekend? Well, get ready for the 2022 World Cup.
But here’s what’s really coming up, here’s what’s new on Netflix this week:
