Perhaps this was my greatest patriarchal period. I was a good father [Trey,] my first son I got a little better with Jaden. I got my sea legs with Willow, and I may have suffered enough in the last two years of my life to possess real wisdom. This past year with my kids has been the best of parenting. If I have to say something to tip someone around, it’s that first and foremost, everyone sucks at first. It’s too good not to be too good at it. It’s okay to make mistakes and the best thing you can do for your kids is to learn and develop yourself.
