Producer of Meghan Markle’s podcast at Archewell

The head of audio for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has left their label Archwell, casting doubt on the return of the Archetypes with Meghan podcast for a second season.

Page Six reports that Rebecca Sanance will be leaving the project after just one year because she’s eager to launch her own project.

Hired in July 2021 following her work on Vox Media’s podcast and New York Magazine’s Pivot.

She joined Archewell in August 2021 and reports to the Head of Content Ben Browningand was instrumental in getting the “archetypes” off the ground.

Second high-profile departure

with Snance out of the picture, Terry Wood He’ll lead the podcast if he comes back.

The news comes days after Mandana Dayyani, who ran Archewell for just under 18 months, resigned from her position by mutual agreement, with news that she would not be replaced.

It’s unclear whether Harry and Markle will continue to work with Spotify, with an insider telling Page Six: “I think they’d be happy if their contracts with Netflix and Spotify ended, quite frankly. But the question then is, how will they make money?”

The two will now helm their company ahead of the launch of their own Netflix show, which premieres Thursday, and Harry’s Diary, which is set for release in January.
