Star Wars writer details plot hole that ‘wants to remake’ | Movies | entertainment

Star Wars fans have been left in the dark about the future of the franchise, so the book is looking back. The latest installments of the films have received middling reviews, and a writer from the most recent “A Star Wars Story” film lamented one narrative decision that lingered. Jonathan Kasdan opened up about Solo: A Star Wars Story, and how one event left him full of regret.

Solo told the dramatic story of Harrison Ford’s iconic galactic arrogant Han Solo. The movie revealed how he first met Chewbacca, obtained the Millennium Falcon, and even where he got his name from.

However, Kasdan notes that a key detail about Kessel’s theft infuriated him when he looked at it again. “I’ll tell you the biggest problem that has always haunted me about Solo,” said he, “I’m going to reveal the writer’s nightmare now. If Dryden Foss is so worried about exposing his robbery gang, why should he send his most trusted assistant?” [Qi’ra] Being the most visible member of the team who steals axes? “

Qi-Ra was the young hustler and opportunist played by Emilia Clarke in the movie. Her character is introduced as Solo’s first love, and the woman he would do anything for.

Kasdan explained, “As the years have gone by and more Star Wars have come out, my enthusiasm for doing more solo work has waned just because there’s so much great Star Wars out there right now. But one thing I’d like to revisit is the relationship between [Han and Qi’Ra]Because there is so much fun and complexity to be found.”

Solo was originally planned to be a trilogy of films, telling the story of how Han Solo became the smuggler fans met in the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope. While the trilogy was never officially cancelled, production never began on the second or third film.

Since then, singles actor Alden Ehrenreich has talked about coming back. He said, “It depends on what it is. It depends on how it’s done. It depends on whether it seems instinctive in the story.”

Ehrenreich was also tested in 2021 if he had heard anything about a sequel to the movie. He admitted, “No, I don’t know anything about that. I mean, you know, I think our movie was kind of the last time the traditional Star Wars movies were released.”

Solo was one of the last Star Wars movies to be released. Since then, some untitled projects have been announced, but no confirmed release date or any details have been given.

Instead, Disney has focused on TV shows set in the Star Wars universe. These shows, which focus on The Mandalorian and Boba Fett, have also aired on Disney Plus.
