Two #1 Contenders matches are booked for next week’s show (December 12th)

this week Monday Night Raw She spent a good chunk of time preparing for next week’s show, where the December 12 episode will feature the #1 contender’s matches for both the United States Championship and the Raw Women’s Championship. The show featured two triple threat matches that included Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross and Bayley Rhea Ripley and Asuka, which led to both Bayley and Alexa Bliss advancing to the next week. Bayley has appeared several times against current champion Bianca Belair since returning from injury, while Bliss hasn’t made a singles appearance since 2018. She’s also been heavily hinting at returning to her darker persona and affiliating with Bray Wyatt in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, former US champions Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley will battle for the title with Austin Theory. Lashley almost lost his spot in the match this week when he accidentally knocked out backstage producer Pete Williams during a brawl, and Adam Pearce made it clear he’s on thin ice next week. Rollins famously beat Lashley to win the US Title (and become a two-time Grand Slam Champion) back in October, only for Theory to win the title in a triple threat involving both men in Survivor Series War Games.

The American title picture is getting a little crowded heading into 2022. Theory agreed to defend his title this week against Mustafa Ali, only for the match to be thrown out when Dolph Ziggler – who also has issues with Theory – attacked the champion and forced a disqualification.

The only other match announced for next week is Candice LeRae vs. Eyo Sky. LeRae has vowed to beat every member of Damage CTRL since returning from injury and has already defeated Dakota Kai. Fans can expect some sort of involvement from Lynch during that match, as Kai and Sky made sure “The Man” didn’t make it in her qualifying match on Raw’s main event. Stay tuned for full coverage of the program next week!
