Elvis Presley’s “Out of This World” Graceland Christmas Was Close to the Family| Movies | entertainment

During his two decades at Graceland, Elvis Presley threw a massive private party for his inner circle in a Tennessee mansion. The house would be beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree in almost every room, not to mention the amazing festive lights outside that are still hung to this day. Even weeks before Christmas Eve, his close family will be super excited about the intimate and exclusive event.

One of them is Danny Smith, who grew up as Lisa Marie’s childhood friend in Graceland. He is the son of Billy Smith, cousin of Elvis and the last surviving original member of the Memphis Mafia.

On his YouTube channel, Memphis Mafia Kid, Danny happily shared: “It was out of this world. It’s been like anticipation all month, until after Thanksgiving I couldn’t wait for Christmas Eve at Graceland.”

Upon arriving inside Graceland in their elegant and comfortable attire, there will be plenty of festive foods laid out informally around the mansion for guests to enjoy.

Danny said of playing with Lisa Marie: “We had so much fun. We were running all over Graceland and had everything you could think of to eat. Sweets, candy, all kinds of things.”

For Elvis’ relative, however, the climactic moment was waiting for the King to come downstairs and join the party. He remembers waiting on the stairs that led to the kitchen and admitted he would get chills waiting for the superstar to arrive.

In the wee hours of Christmas Day, Elvis is upstairs in his bedroom chatting with Danny’s parents. This means that he, Lisa Marie, and the other Memphis Mafia kids can keep playing and even help themselves to a few leftover punches. He added, “It was one of the greatest things I’ve lived and experienced and it wasn’t just Christmas time. Just that life.”
