Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre are both involved with injuries

WWE SmackDown Boasts one of WWE’s strongest rosters in years. At the top of the card is Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns alongside his stablemates in The Bloodline, but not far behind former world champions like Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. These two men teamed with Butch, Ridge Holland, and Kevin Owens to take on Reigns and The Bloodline at V.I.E.L.D WWE Survivor Series Inside War Games. The match itself saw Sami Zayn and J-Yose working together to achieve victory at The Bloodline, but the steel cage fight was not without casualties.

Immediately after the featured live event, Reigns was reportedly angry backstage over a venue that happened late in the match. Owens slapped Reigns hard enough that he was worried his eardrums would rupture.

As mentioned before Wrestling NewsletterIndeed, Reigns suffered a ruptured eardrum, but he wasn’t the only one. The report adds that McIntyre is also absent from the same injury. While this keeps two of WWE SmackDownTV’s biggest stars right now, both injuries were noted as “a short-term thing.”

It’s likely both men will be back in action soon, as McIntyre will reportedly be working WWE’s schedule of live events kicking off after Christmas. With WWE also download the ultimate WWE SmackDown Of the year, as John Cena was recently announced for the show, that could be the location for both Reigns and McIntyre’s next televised appearance.

After November’s high-profile live event, Reigns is said to have been set up for a title feud with Owens, one of which would see the two champions face off at WWE Royal Rumble next month. From there, Reigns is expected to face Zayn V WWE Elimination Chamber Then either Cody Rhodes or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in WWE WrestleMania 39.

McIntyre’s long-term plans are uncertain. The Scottish warrior was initially scheduled to team with Sheamus to challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship that night, but his injury forced WWE to replace him with Butch for that match.
