Originally, we were going to see Jiri Prochazka take on Magomed Ankalayev in the main, but he had a horrific shoulder injury. Due to the time needed to recover, the champion vacated the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in favor of the division. Subsequently, Glover Teixeira was offered the place, but he needed more time to prepare.
So, that leaves us with Ankalaev still in the main event. He is fighting Jan Blachowicz for the now vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship (which Blachowicz dropped to Teixeira in October).
Ankalaev has come on a nine-match winning streak, while Blachowicz has only won one match – beating Alexandar Rakić via TKO – since losing to Teixeira.
Prior to that, the co-main event found Buddy Pemblitt challenging Jared Gordon. The former is making his UFC PPV debut, and has won all three of his fights in the UFC to date (all via stoppage).
And for the odds: Ankalaev is the favorite at -320 (bet $320 to win $100) over Blachowicz (+265 – bet $100 to win $265) according to Kings (Opens in a new tab). Pemblett (-250) is the favorite over Gordon (+210).
