James Gunn Comments On Lady Gaga Casting Rumors

While it has been confirmed that Lady Gaga will be joining the DC Universe thanks to her portrayal of Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie a Deux, there has been growing speculation that she may soon be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There have been long-standing rumors that Lady Lily (as voiced by Gaga) will make her debut Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, rumors that were eventually confirmed when the first trailer for the trilogy showed the character hugging Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper). Gaga’s name was missing from any credits entirely, however, and James Gunn has now answered whether or not the singer will be voicing the character.

in Instagram post As for the teaser, the filmmaker was asked if the person who voted for Lilly had a name that “stars with Ga and ends with Ga,” something Gunn was quick to reveal by saying, “It doesn’t.”

Fans were quick to point out that it might be a hoax because her real name on the project, Stefani Germanotta, could be credited as Gaga. Although she is best known for her singing career, Gaga became famous for her acting thanks to her performance opposite Cooper in 2018. A star is bornwhich is a reason many believe the singer must have expressed Rocket’s love interest in the first place.

Vol. 3 It’s largely set to focus on Rocket, showing moviegoers where the character and origin story came from.

“[The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special] It is also very, very different from Volume 3 Because Volume 3 It really is a very emotional movie,” Gunn told us earlier. And this story tells about Rocket, where he came from and where he’s going, how that relates to everyone, and the end of this iteration of the Guardians. He continued, “So, doing this goofy thing once every four days, and then going and shooting for four days Guardians Vol. 3, then turning back, it almost took a lot of hits. But it was also almost like The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special The days were like snow days, you know? That was… that vacation. That was fun!”
