Big swim fans were totally shocked by the Yule Log

Adult Swim aired its first annual Yule Log special, and fans are still trying to figure out what’s going on! One of the more ambiguous announcements of the past few weeks was when Adult Swim revealed it after the broadcast Rick and Morty The final episode of Season 6, there will be a Yule Log special coming right after. Like a lot of other Yule Logs of its ilk, Adult Swim’s started out as a crackling-on-fire log look before soon morphing into something completely different that fans definitely weren’t expecting to see.

The Yule Log special started out like The Yule Log Show before slowly revealing a full-length storyline that included an absolutely brutal storyline. But that wasn’t quite the case because it was clear that things were happening in a much different way than expected as Long Yule went on. But that’s as much as we can tell without spoilers, so you can check it out on HBO Max starting Monday, December 12th.
