Jujutsu Kaisen is gearing up to return for a second season next year, and the anime has revealed the first look at some of the new characters coming our way in the second wave of episodes! The franchise’s first season and feature film was such a huge success that it wasn’t surprising to find that Studio MAPPA was already working on a second season for release next year. Now that the new episodes are close to their full premiere next summer, fans will finally be allowed more information on how season two has shaped up so far.
Jujutsu Kisen He took the stage during Jump Festa 2023 this past weekend in Japan, and fans got a fresh look at the second season, which is now in the works. Unfortunately, while we haven’t had a look at the new episodes in the works yet, we’ve seen character designs coming in the Gojo’s Past arc. Not only did we get to see new versions of Satoru Gojo and more, but the two new main additions to the arc, Riko Amanai and Toji Fushiguro. You can check out their designs below:

What comes in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2?
Jujutsu Kisen Currently slated for a July release as part of the summer 2023 anime schedule, it has been confirmed to run for two cycles considering the next two major arcs from Gege Akutami’s original manga. The first arc is known as the Hidden Inventory/Early Death arc, but is usually referred to by fans as “Gojo’s Past arc” since it features a flashback to Gojo and Suguru Geto’s time together at school during a very difficult mission.

Riko Amanai and Toji Fushiguro play a big role in this flashback arc that begins the second season of the anime, and Toji will continue to play a big role through the Shibuya Incident arc as well. The voice talent behind these new additions has yet to be confirmed as of the initial reveal of the build, but fans will definitely want to keep an eye on how these two important characters make their way into the series.
