Sorry to those of you who were hoping to see it Black Adam 2but according to a statement Dwayne Johnson shared in Twitter, the sequel will not go forward. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the end of our seeing more of Black Adam Johnson. As the WWE star explained:

My fellow fanatic friends, I wanted to give you the long overdue Black Adam update regarding the character’s future in the new DC Universe. James Gunn and I are in touch, and Black Adam won’t be in the first act of storytelling. However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring more valuable ways to use Black Adam in future chapters of the DC Multiverse. James and I have known each other for years and have always rooted for each other for success. It was no different now, and I will always cheer for DC (and Marvel) to win and win big.
