Brady recently opened up about how he feels about this holiday season, and it’s also the first time he’s been playing soccer at Christmas instead of being with his family.

Jim Gray, co-host of the podcast, noted that Brady never played football on Christmas, and that this year the quarterback will spend Christmas Eve in a hotel room and play a game on December 25th. Then the pirate captain talked about this year’s holiday season, and how to deal with it, saying:
It will be a new experience that I have never had before and I will have to learn to deal with it. And I think that’s what life is about. You just asked the question, “What have you learned from this football season?” I will learn how to handle Christmas Eve in a hotel. I’m going to have to learn how to handle Christmas Eve and Christmas and still go out and be a pro and then look forward to celebrating Christmas with my kids the next day, part of the football season it’s been a long time coming.
Brady and the Buccaneers are scheduled to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, December 25th in the evening, which means the quarterback likely won’t see his kids until the next day. He noted that playing for the big holiday is part of his job, and he will be back with his family the day after Christmas. He also explained that playing in recess is one of the challenges he will have to deal with and learn from.
