Chainsaw Man gives Denji a wild new ability in the season finale

Chainsaw guy Season 1 ended with Denji fighting in one of his bloodiest fights yet, using all the tricks at his disposal in an attempt to defeat Katana Man once and for all. Fortunately for the chainsaw demon, he has a new trick that was able to save his life and change his future for the better. While MAPPA has yet to confirm that a second season is on the way, the popularity of the anime series makes it seem like a foregone conclusion that Denji will return.

Denji’s fusion with his beloved dog, Pochita, not only allowed him to have saw blades explode from his head and arms, but also brought him close to death, as he could lose limbs, be snapped in half, and generally take massive amounts of damage. If Denji can waste blood, he can quickly heal from any damage he takes, which unfortunately has a power comparable to that of Katana Man. When Denji’s heart was replaced by Pochita, something similar happened to Katana’s man, resulting in a dark reflection of the Shonen hero, and during their fight, Denji was able to overwhelm the opponent thanks to a strength that the villain didn’t have.

Chainsaw legs

As they fight inside a subway car, Denji’s arms are slashed by Katana Man, along with a blade protruding from his head. Fortunately for the Chainsaw Devil, he has other blades at his disposal as Denji is able to slash his opponent right down the middle using his legs, making for an abrupt end to the encounter.

At present, Studio MAPPA has not yet confirmed that the second season of Chainsaw man On the way, despite the popularity of its anime adaptation, plus there is plenty of manga material yet to be adapted, it will certainly only be a matter of time before we see Denji and his fellow Demon Hunters return to the small screen. For those who haven’t followed the manga, rest assured that there are more bloody battles and hilarious moments to come.
