Wood also talked about whether he would still be a reporter on the show if a different person was tapped as the next host. He said:
It will depend on the host. It will depend on the creative direction of the show. What are you trying to do? How do I come to terms with that? And does this creative direction suit my comedic skills and give me an opportunity to show who I am?
I hope Wood sticks with the comedy show, whether he’s host or reporter, because it’s really funny. We’re lucky to at least get to see him for a while longer because he’s part of an epic group of guest hosts.

As for Noah, leave The Daily Show On December 8th with plans to do some traveling and more stand up. During 2023, he will embark on a world tour that will start from January 20th. He will visit 28 cities in the United States and then travel around the world.
